AUSTIN, Texas — The National Deaf Center on Postsecondary Outcomes has received more than $24 million in federal awards to expand resources supporting deaf students in education, training and careers.

The UT Austin announcement describes three awards, including a $20 million grant supporting the center’s national work through 2031.

Other funding supports interpreter training and Deafverse Career Connections, a career-readiness initiative designed for students in grades nine through 11.

The center works with schools, colleges and workforce organizations to improve accessible pathways. The announcement concerns program funding; it does not mean every student receives a direct payment or a guaranteed placement.
