OSU-Cascades reports growth in mechanical engineering enrollment

OSU-Cascades reported preliminary enrollment of 1,258 students this fall, including 296 new undergraduates, in an October 8 announcement.

Mechanical engineering added 38 students, an increase of approximately 38 percent. The university also highlighted growth in accountancy, elementary education, biology and social science.

The Bend campus counted 160 new first-year students, with 29 percent coming from Central Oregon. These figures were preliminary when released. Final enrollment was expected through the late-October census and should be consulted before treating these figures as final results.
