RENO, Nevada — The University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine and Renown Health are expanding clinical learning, mentoring and research opportunities intended to strengthen Nevada’s healthcare workforce.
A university report published October 23 says more than 350 learners took part in clinical experiences across Renown during the 2025–26 academic year.
The partnership includes earlier placements for medical students, scholarships, study resources and simulation training. The report also describes a new simulation center under development, rather than presenting all planned facilities as already open.
University leaders link local training opportunities with efforts to retain healthcare professionals in Nevada. The article reports the partnership’s activities and stated goals; it does not establish that the state’s provider shortages have been resolved.
