AUSTIN, Texas — UT Austin President Jim Davis outlined healthcare, interdisciplinary research and undergraduate education as central priorities in his annual State of the University address.
The October 21 university account describes plans to connect clinical care, research and training through the UT Dell Medicine health enterprise.
Davis also discussed the planned UT Dell Medical Center and efforts to strengthen the undergraduate learning experience. These initiatives combine operating programs with facilities and organizational changes still being developed.
The speech sets out the administration’s agenda. Its statements about future healthcare and research benefits are institutional goals, rather than evidence that every planned service or facility is already available.
