The presentation took place in San Francisco de los Romo; supported trips are arranged through IAM.
San Francisco de los Romo, Ags.— The Aguascalientes government reported on October 24 the local presentation of Uber Mujeres and renewal of a collaboration between the company and the Aguascalientes Women’s Institute (IAM) to facilitate trips to care institutions.
The event took place in the La Rivera development. According to the state statement, more than one hundred women have received support through donated rides intended for people needing guidance, protection or access to justice.
Destinations mentioned include the Prosecutor’s Office, the Judiciary, the Women’s Justice Center and Casas Rosas. This institutional assistance differs from commercial rides requested in the app.
Uber had announced the expansion of Uber Mujeres to Aguascalientes in September. The company says assignment of women drivers depends on the mode and availability; the preference does not guarantee a woman driver on every trip.
