A National Guard truck overturned on October 23 at kilometer 55 of the Mérida–Campeche highway, near Pomuch, leaving a preliminary toll of at least 10 personnel injured, La Jornada reported.
The occupants were traveling to the Campeche state capital. Emergency personnel from nearby municipalities responded to assist and transport those needing hospital care.
The accident affected traffic while rescue and safety operations took place. The figure comes from the report published that day at 5:03 p.m.; it should not be interpreted as a final toll or a current highway closure notice. Authorities must determine the cause of the crash.
