WASHINGTON.— The State Department updated the summary of its Israel travel advisory on October 23, adding an increased risk of Houthi attacks and regional threats linked to Iran.
According to the official advisory’s history, the update did not change the overall Level 3 designation, which recommends reconsidering travel, or the risk indicators.
The document warns that tensions may rise quickly and affect flights. It also maintains stronger warnings for specific areas near Gaza and other border regions.
The recommendation comes from U.S. authorities and is directed at their citizens. Travelers of other nationalities should also consult their own consular representatives and current local instructions.
