By Erick León

Feyenoord left Telstar’s ground with a 4–3 victory in an Eredivisie Matchday 9 that produced 42 goals. Gaoussou Diarra opened the scoring after 25 seconds, Nacho Ferri also scored, and Sem Steijn struck twice.

In its October 19 roundup, the league listed Feyenoord as the only unbeaten side, with 23 points, three above AZ and four ahead of PSV. Telstar kept the outcome in doubt but could not prevent the visitors from winning.
