Poland’s Kasia Wasick won the 50-meter freestyle in Astana on October 16 in 23.30 seconds, completing nine consecutive wins in that World Cup event.
Marrit Steenbergen finished second in 23.41. At 34, Wasick completed another triple crown by winning at all three stops on the 2026 circuit.
The swimmer emphasized that she improved her times at every stop. Her short-course result maintains interest in her appearance at December’s World Championships in Beijing.
