Los Cabos, Baja California Sur.— In connection with the 2026 SCORE Baja 1000, the 15th Los Cabos Municipal Administration, through its Municipal Government Department, is coordinating preparations with businesses and emergency services for an off-road vehicle exhibition on Tuesday, November 10, in downtown Cabo San Lucas. The aim is to support local commerce and tourism.
Municipal Government Director Antonio Avilés Pandor said a meeting with business representatives addressed event logistics, access routes and the closure of some streets. Plans include displaying 10 vehicles from the SCORE organization and participation by 10 restaurants and nightclubs to attract visitors and create economic opportunities for local businesses.
Avilés Pandor said this edition of the SCORE Baja 1000 will be distinctive because the race will start and finish in Los Cabos. In addition to activities planned in San José del Cabo, officials seek to extend the event’s benefits to Cabo San Lucas, particularly its restaurants and businesses. Preparations follow instructions from Mayor Christian Agúndez Gómez and are coordinated with Public Relations Director Víctor Montaño Gaytán.
Representatives of Public Security, Preventive Police and Municipal Traffic, the Red Cross, and Civil Protection and Risk Management also participated in meetings to define routes, street closures and preventive measures for the exhibition.
The official said the 2026 SCORE Baja 1000 will take place from November 9 to 14, while the Cabo San Lucas vehicle exhibition is scheduled for Tuesday, November 10, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., as part of efforts to strengthen business participation in the international sporting event.
