St. Louis: Former assistant principal pleads not guilty to receiving child sexual abuse material

Daniel Ott, 41, a former assistant principal at a Missouri secondary school, was charged with receiving child sexual abuse material. A second man, Juan C. Valencia, 43, faces a distribution charge, prosecutors reported on October 22.

Both indictments were returned on October 14, and both men pleaded not guilty at their appearances. The cases describe files and communications investigated between 2024 and 2026. The charges must be proved; student information and any details that could identify minors are omitted.
