The Arizona Department of Public Safety received a federal grant of $28,431,056 to support crime victim services, the U.S. Attorney’s Office announced in Phoenix on October 15.
The funding supports community organizations and public agencies that provide crisis counseling, information, assistance through the justice process and shelter services under the Victims of Crime Act. It is an allocation to the state, not an automatic direct payment to each victim.
