Municipal offices will resume work Tuesday the 27th; essential services will maintain duty staff.
Tijuana, BC.— Tijuana City Hall’s administrative offices, borough offices and paramunicipal agencies will not serve the public on Monday, October 26, 2026, the municipal government announced in an October 24 statement.
The suspension applies to permanent, trust-appointed and fixed-term staff. Regular work will resume Tuesday the 27th at established times.
City Hall explained that the day off is granted in exchange for October 27, the anniversary of the founding of the union representing workers of Baja California’s state branches, municipalities and decentralized institutions.
Agencies providing essential services must arrange duty shifts to maintain operations. The measure concerns municipal administration and does not imply a general suspension of school, commercial or private activities in the city.
