Milan adds 500 soldiers ahead of fresh protests

By Erick León

Milan, Italy.— Authorities deployed 500 additional soldiers to strengthen security ahead of demonstrations on Saturday, October 24, according to video coverage by Euronews.

The operation was organized a week after clashes and looting in the city. Businesses, including luxury stores and retail chains, protected their storefronts against the risk of further damage.

Measures included drone surveillance, checks at railway stations and rapid-response teams. The deployment described concerns Saturday’s preparations; the cited report offers no final assessment of that day and does not attribute damage to all participants.
