James Cody Bryant, 30, was charged in Washington with conspiring to commit murders in another country in a case connected to the February 10 shooting at a school in British Columbia, prosecutors announced on October 14.
Prosecutors allege that Bryant communicated with the shooter beforehand and helped prepare a livestream. Six people were killed and others injured in the attack. The allegations against Bryant must be proven in court; he has not been convicted and is not identified as the shooter.
