By Erick León

World Aquatics announced this week that Berlin, Paris and London will host the 2027 Swimming World Cup. The circuit will include opportunities for direct qualification for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.

Berlin will open competition from October 15 to 17. The second leg will take place in Paris from October 22 to 24, with London closing the tour from October 29 to 31.

Olympic places will be linked to the new 50-meter butterfly, backstroke and breaststroke events. Each host city will be assigned two qualifying events, one men’s and one women’s.

The announced program includes heats, quarterfinals, semifinals and eight-lane finals. The top six in each qualifying final will secure their LA28 places under the mechanism announced by the international federation.

The 2027 edition will follow the October 2026 circuit held in Baku, Tashkent and Astana.
