Coparmex Campeche presented a proposal to the Government and Administration and Finance secretariats and the local Congress to allocate an initial 500 million pesos to strengthen micro, small and medium-sized businesses, according to Almomento.
Business leader Alejandro Risueño Rivas explained that the initiative, called Pacto por Campeche, seeks inclusion in the next fiscal year’s economic package.
The proposal includes productive diversification and business incubators to support entrepreneurs and reduce dependence on oil. The amount is a business-sector request: the cited report does not establish budget approval or an open application process for assistance.
