Edmund J. Horvath, 36, was charged with illegally possessing a loaded firearm at the Kluczynski Federal Building in downtown Chicago. A criminal complaint describes shots fired and damage early on October 20.
The charge was announced on October 21. The incident involved a garage access ramp, a security guard’s intervention and city police. Prosecutors allege that a prior domestic violence conviction prohibited Horvath from possessing a firearm. He is presumed innocent of the current charge unless proven guilty.
