Ánimas del Desierto brings Oaxacan theater to Saltillo and announces new legend tours

The 2026 Ánimas del Desierto Festival presented Alberto Villarreal’s production Torno y retorno ocre quemado at Saltillo’s Teatro de la Ciudad Fernando Soler, El Heraldo de Saltillo reported.

The production combines performing arts, traditions and craftwork from Oaxaca, with the participation of José Luis Villalobos and the Escenaguetza project.

The program also includes El tranvía de las leyendas from October 26 to 28, at 19:00 and 20:00. According to the report, each ride has 19 places, and complimentary tickets are distributed from 09:00 at Casa Purcell. The published telephone number for checking availability is 844 414 5080.
