Bible reading and Christian reflection.

1 Peter 5:7

“Cast all your worry upon him, because he cares for you.”

Bible quotation: English translation of the Reina-Valera 1909 text quoted in the original article. The complete Spanish chapter is linked below.

The context

The closing of 1 Peter brings together teachings on caring for the community, humility and steadfastness in affliction. The invitation to entrust worries to God is part of that support.

A reflection for today

The Christian reading reminds us that worries can be expressed and shared. Spiritual trust can help us recognize a burden, ask for support and organize what is within our reach. We do not need to appear calm to deserve care.

Put it into practice

Talk about a concern with someone you trust and agree on practical help if you need it.

Prayer

Lord, receive my concerns and teach me to accept the care that comes through other people.

The explanation, practical suggestion and prayer are editorial reflections from a Christian perspective; they are not part of the biblical text.
