Finnmark, Norway.— Regional partnership Energi i Nord has joined the national cluster program and may receive up to 12 million Norwegian kroner through 2030, Radio Nordkapp reported on October 25. The initiative brings together power companies, industry, researchers and municipalities in northern Norway.
Its director, Marit Magelssen Vambheim, said grid limitations, permitting processes and a lack of new generation are holding back the energy transition. The support aims to turn regional cooperation into projects and jobs. The announced sum is a maximum support allocation, rather than an investment already spent.
