Makhachkala plans to add 141 new buses to municipal routes from January 1, 2027, Kommersant reported on October 25, citing the government of Dagestan. The renewal forms part of a transport reform with regulated fares.
The fleet had not yet been delivered in full: figures cited as of October 6 placed signed contracts at 113 vehicles, with another 28 in preparation. The buses will serve 10 routes. The announced date concerns the planned start of service, rather than a completed fleet introduction.
