3CON Corporation, a Wixom company manufacturing automated systems, agreed to pay $1,500,439.50 to resolve allegations of false statements in obtaining a PPP loan. Detroit prosecutors announced the settlement on October 22.

The government maintained that the company did not meet the pandemic relief program’s eligibility requirements. The payment resolves allegations under the federal False Claims Act. This is a civil settlement and should not be presented as a criminal conviction of the company.
