Cartrelle Smith pleaded guilty to participating in a racketeering conspiracy under RICO. Minnesota prosecutors reported that he entered his plea in federal court on October 21.

Smith is one of 14 defendants in the case and the third to admit guilt. Documents place the Lows organization’s activities in Minneapolis and describe a conspiracy spanning years. Sentencing remained unscheduled; statutory maximum penalties are not sentences already imposed.
