Cuernavaca opens dialogue on consultation and Indigenous peoples’ rights

A discussion at the Casa de los Saberes Jurídicos in Cuernavaca addressed access to justice, political representation and prior consultation for Indigenous peoples and Afro-Mexican communities. Human Rights and IPIAM officials participated. The government acknowledged barriers caused by discrimination and inequality and proposed strengthening institutional coordination and community participation.
