Oslo.— Finance Minister Jens Stoltenberg received a report on the ethical framework of the Government Pension Fund Global on October 15 and announced a public consultation before deciding on changes.
The committee chaired by Svein Gjedrem submitted its recommendations following the review requested by Parliament. The deadline for comments is January 15.
Stoltenberg said the government would examine both the report and the consultation responses. Its assessments will be presented in the government document on the fund planned for spring 2027.
The report opens debate on responsible management of this public wealth. The announcement does not constitute immediate approval of new investment rules.
