Thijs Oosting added to a family story in PEC Zwolle’s 4–1 win over Go Ahead Eagles in Matchday 9. The midfielder scored twice against the side coached by his father, Joseph Oosting.

According to the Eredivisie roundup published on October 19, Thijs reached five league goals against teams coached by Joseph. That total represented one-third of his 15 Dutch top-flight goals up to that point.
