The meeting addressed procedures and housing options for families without homes of their own.
Aguascalientes, Ags.— The Aguascalientes government reported on October 21 that it participated in a federal meeting to strengthen social-housing coordination and expand housing options for families without homes of their own.
The meeting took place at the National Palace and was headed by President Claudia Sheinbaum. Governor Tere Jiménez attended alongside representatives of other states and municipal authorities.
According to the state statement, the target population of the programs mentioned includes people who do not own a home, are not entitled to Infonavit or Fovissste benefits, and earn less than two minimum wages.
A Social Housing Single Window was also presented to centralize information and simplify development-approval procedures. The statement consulted sets no registration date or specific number of new homes assigned to Aguascalientes; the meeting does not itself constitute a call to apply for assistance.
