Carlos Ernesto Rosado Ruelas announces intention to seek independent candidacy in Campeche

Former mayor Carlos Ernesto Rosado Ruelas announced that he would seek an independent candidacy for mayor of Campeche, according to a Tribuna Campeche report on a video released by the politician.

Rosado Ruelas said he intends to submit a letter of intent and, if granted electoral approval, conduct visits to collect signatures of public support.

The announcement expresses a political aspiration. It does not amount to an approved candidate registration or establish that he can already seek endorsements under an authorized process. Applicable deadlines and requirements should be checked against decisions of the Electoral Institute of the State of Campeche.
