Sogndal beats Kongsvinger 3–1 on club anniversary evening

Sogndal, Norway.— Sogndal defeated Kongsvinger 3–1 at Fosshaugane Campus on October 25, 2026. The victory strengthened its prospects of remaining in the OBOS-ligaen and marked a commemorative evening for the club.

Even Hovland headed in the opener in the third minute. Kongsvinger responded before halftime, leaving the teams level at 1–1 at the break.

The difference came late: Tuomas Pippola converted a rebound to restore the home side’s lead, and Kparobo Arierhi extended it with a finish over the goalkeeper.

The club highlighted its second consecutive victory and an improved outlook ahead of its remaining league fixtures in the fight against relegation. A cup match against Lillestrøm comes first.
